MEETINGS

Meetings are held at 8 pm on the first Tuesday of each month at the

United Services Club,

Kings Rd ,

Chingford.

A subsidised bar is open during meetings.

The Society A.G.M. is held at the February meeting each year, with the season starting on the 1^st April

MAGAZINE

A magazine 'Bankside-on-line' is sent out throughout the year, keeping members informed of Society and fishery news. Outing results and changes are included and members are welcome to supply information or stories about their fishing. Tackle can be bought and sold through the magazine, and those wanting to team up with another angler for company can make use of the magazine.

Starting in 2011 the Bankside magazine will be available via E  Mail direct to members  

WORK PARTIES

Each year work parties are held on our waters with jobs suitable for all skills and abilities.

This is an important operation that we carry out to satisfy our landlords on our suitability to lease the waters and to ensure members have a safe and comfortable fishery.

During the month of May, Passingford Pond and  Forty hall Lake are only open to members that have worked on one or more work parties that year as a reward.

MATCH OUTINGS

The Society organises friendly match outings throughout the year for those interested. These are run on a very friendly match basis, with the emphasis on having a bit of fun with a few friends and catching plenty of fish, usually with a fair portion of light hearted banter. We usually try for well stocked venues that have some facilities on site,   we have a midday break to weigh in and have a chat. Any of our outings are open to members and their friends. To add to the enjoyment trophies and cash prizes are awarded annually. For those wanting to try any of our outings but not wishing to drive lifts can be arranged.

The site aims both to inform prospective members about the society with information on waters and how to join, and keep existing members up to date on the activities, match results, and catches. There is, like the magazine a page for sales, swaps and wanted, free for members small charge for non members.
